SHN-3110 Indicator Communication Driver

 

SHN-3110 Indicator is driver to communicate with Graphic Indicator of Shinho System Co., Ltd.

 

1. Read settings

 

<Figure 1> is read setting example of SHN-3110 Indicator communication driver.

Device part of  <Figure 1> input Com Port(COM1), Baud Rate(9600), Parity Bit(0), Data Bit(8), Stop Bit(1) respectively, according to device.

Communication speed and etc of SHN-3110 Indicator device are set by the front control switch.

 

SHN-3110 Indicator driver's read schedule

You just write single line as 'READ,', because SHN-3110 Indicator is write only driver.

 

2. Writing settings

 

You can set display value of SHN-3110 Indicator device by using writing settings.

 

Digital Write

There is no digital writing settings for SHN-3110 Indicator device.

 

Analog Write

Analog write setting parameters are as follows:

1) Port             Connected communication port number. (Not COM number)

2) Station         Input the device address between 1 and 99.

3) Address      Don't care. (Fixed to 0)

4) Extra1          One of 4 or 6 (Etc).

                      4 : 4 digits Indicator,

                      6, Etc : 6 digits Indicator

5) Extra2          The number of decimal places.

4 digits Indicator : 0 ~ 3

6 digits Indicator : 0 ~ 5

 

Write example 1)

PORT : 0   STATION : 1   ADDRESS : 0000  EXTRA1 : 6  EXTRA2 : 1

If you set as above and write analog value, you can output the value which is set at no.1 SHN-3110 (6 digits)Indicator connected with no.0 port as 1 digit of decimal point.

 

Write example 2)

PORT : 0   STATION : 2   ADDRESS : 0000  EXTRA1 : 4  EXTRA2 : 2

If you set as above and write analog value, you can output the value which is set at no.1 SHN-3110 (6 digits)Indicator connected with no.0 port as 2 digits of decimal point.

 

3. Communication cable and power connection

Connect communication cable of SHN-3110 device and basic power, as follows.

 

Communication cable connection

Connect RS-485 +, - terminal of computer side and T+, T- terminal of SHN-3110 device such as <Figure 2>.

Basic power connection

Connect AC 110V or 220V to power connection terminal(no.4 and no.6 are AC 220V, no.5 and no.6 are AC 110V) of SHN-3110 device

4. Setting for communication speed, device address and etc of Indicator

Connect communication speed, device address and etc of SHN-3110 device, as follows.

Set the Com Baud(Speed), Parity Bit, Stop Bit, Device Address by using the front of SHN-3110 device's 'S', 'E' button, as follows.

1) If you press 'S' button at Number Display Status, 'baud' letter is displayed.

2) At this status, if you press 'E' button continuously, display letter of Com Baud is changed as 2400, 4800, 9600, 14400, in order.

3) If you select the Com Baud to set and press the 'S' button, 'PAri' letter is displayed after completing Com Baud setting.

4) At this status, if you press 'E' button continuously, display letter of Com Baud is changed as none, even, odd, in order.

5) If you select the Parity Bit to set and press 'S' button, 'Stop' letter is displayed after completing designation of Parity Bit.

6) At this status, if you press 'E' button continuously, display letter of Com Baud is changed as 1, 2, in order.

7) If you select Stop Bit and press the 'S' button, 'Addr' letter is displayed after completing designation of Stop Bit.

8) At this status, if you press 'E' button continuously, display letter of Com Baud is changed(by using 'E', 'S' button) as 0 ~ 99, in order.

9) If you set device address and press the 'S' button and 'E' button at the same time, it becomes normal number display status after completing device address settings.
